A major winter storm that stretched from New Mexico to New England brought heavy snowfall to Centre County throughout the day on Sunday.
Snow started in the area at about 1:30 a.m. and by Sunday afternoon 8 to 12 inches had accumulated around the county, with the storm continuing into Sunday night. A winter storm warning was in effect until 1 p.m. Monday.
